Born and raised in Orange County, my journey to the financial service industry was not a straight line. After high school graduation I began a 30+ year professional career in music. I've Performed around the world in such places as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Boston Pops, Gorky Park, Hollywood Bowl, and over 7 years in Las Vegas opening for the likes of Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, and many more. It was far from a conventional life, but an exciting one!
In my 30s I accepted a position at a large church in Orange County as a music/vocal director and weekend service producer. Additionally, I became a licensed pastor and performed weddings, memorial services, as well as other pastoral duties at the church.
In Mid 40s, I left the vocational ministry and searched to find a career that enabled me to use my passion to help others in very tangible ways. What could a professional church, musician, entertainer, licensed pastor with a degree in History (CSUF class of 2000) do next?
After seeing many peers struggle financially and how every aspect of life is impacted–positively or negatively–by financial decisions, my career path came into focus.
In 2017, I entered financial services and now work with families and business owners helping them make wise financial decisions that have lasting effects for generations. With so much financial information available–good and bad–I enjoy bringing clarity to my clients and guiding them along a path that protects and grows their wealth in the safest, most efficient way possible. Financial education, understanding how financial instruments work together in harmony, is the basis for a sound financial strategy. I am passionate about people, and I believe it comes through in all I do with and for clients.
I married my wife, Michelle, in 2002 and we enjoy spending time with our son, Miles, freshman at Concordia University. We enjoy live music whenever possible and being outdoors with our dog, Piper. While no longer a full-time performer, I still get opportunities to make music at church, jazz clubs, and other venues in Southern California.
I say it nearly every day, “Life is not a straight line. It’s an adventure! Few are where they thought they'd be even 6 months ago. Plan accordingly.”
